CPVC Duct Blastgates
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

CPVC duct blastgates are valve type fittings used to regulate airflow or shut off flow in parts of a ductwork system. They are made for ventilation applications that require flow control for air, fumes, or particulates handled by the ductwork. CPVC duct blastgates feature an internal gate that can slide up or down within CPVC duct pipelines to modify flow rate. The blastgate has three set positions: open (full flow), half-closed (restricted flow), and closed (blocked flow). When the gate is open, air will flow freely through the duct system. Half-closed restricts and limits airflow. When the gate is closed, the duct line is blocked, stopping airflow and allowing air to be redirected as needed. Blastgate fittings are used to improve control, safety, and efficiency in air handling applications. They are often used in ventilation systems that handle hazardous or corrosive air or gaseous media such as exhaust, fumes, VOCs, vapors, dust, and particulates. By providing airflow control, CPVC duct blastgates work to maintain proper ventilation conditions, regulate load on filtration or treatment systems, and prevent the spread of potentially dangerous materials. CPVC duct blastgates are commonly used to control airflow in industrial HVAC applications, laboratory settings, production environments, and manufacturing facilities to manage air quality, regulate distribution, and provide containment.
The fittings are made from Corzan® chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC). Corzan® CPVC is a heavy duty, long lasting thermoplastic that provides superior resistance to environmental conditions, chemical degradation, and damage from elevated temperatures and fluctuations. Blastgates feature a 3-position locking pin for setting the gate height during operation. All internal parts are CPVC plastic. The blastgates provide 0%, 50%, or 100% restriction in airflow.
These are USA made CPVC duct blastgates built by Harrison Machine and Plastic® under the trade name SUPERDUCT®, one of the nation’s top manufacturers and brands of thermoplastic ductwork. SUPERDUCT® blastgates are to be used with air and compatible gaseous media in open air, non-pressurized applications only. They are not for use in pressure systems, with liquids, or with known incompatible chemicals. Always verify chemical compatibility prior to use.
CPVC Duct Blastgate Sizes and Options
CPVC duct blastgate sizes range from 2″ to 24″ in diameter and Iron Pipe Size (IPS) sizing standard. CPVC blastgates feature belled end socket connections for easy installation with plain end duct pipe. When installing duct fittings up to 14" in size, a professional CPVC primer and solvent cement are recommended. For duct fittings over 14″ in size, hot air welding is recommended. CPVC duct blastgates can be installed either horizontally or vertically in CPVC ductwork.
Technical Specifications
CPVC duct blastgates are manufactured from professional grade FM4910 specification Corzan® virgin CPVC material per ASTM D1784 standards. CPVC duct blastgates meet and/or exceed ASTM testing standards and requirements to ensure product purity, consistency, mechanical strength, chemical resistance, maximum working temperatures, and fire resistance.
