Schedule 80 CPVC Unions
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

Schedule 80 CPVC unions are industrial fittings used to connect pipes and equipment in CPVC plumbing and piping systems. When installed, CPVC unions allow two sections of a plumbing system to be easily disconnected and reconnected without cutting or extensive work. Their unique design allows for easily making repairs, modifications, or replacing components. Pipe unions are highly useful in complex plumbing networks that feature equipment such as pumps, strainers, and valves. CPVC Schedule 80 unions are also known as heavy duty CPVC unions and industrial unions. The fittings have four parts: a front end connector, a back end connector, a threaded nut, and an O-ring gasket.
The unions are made from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), a thermoplastic material with superior corrosion resistance, chemical compatibility, and a working temperature range up to 200°F (93°C). Common CPVC compatible chemical types include acids, caustics, brines, alcohols, solvents, and oxidizers. Industrial unions have Schedule 80 thick pipe walls that provide improved physical durability and can handle higher liquid pressures. Due to these characteristics, Schedule 80 CPVC unions can be used in high pressure applications, with high temperature liquids, and in chemical conveyance systems. They are commonly used in industrial settings, commercial plumbing, manufacturing applications, and laboratory plumbing.
Sch 80 CPVC Union Sizes and Options
Sch 80 CPVC union sizes range from 1/4" to 4” in plumbing diameter with various size options available. CPVC unions come with either socket by socket ends, threaded by threaded ends, or combination socket by threaded ends. CPVC socket unions have dual slip joints for solvent weld connections using primer and glue. CPVC threaded unions have dual female pipe thread (FPT) ends for making screw-tight connections. Combination CPVC unions have one slip joint and one FPT joint for connecting plumbing with different connection types.
Quality and Safety Standards
Our Schedule 80 CPVC unions are manufactured in the USA by top manufacturers. The unions are fabricated, pressure tested, and certified to meet or exceed strict industry standards and requirements using modern manufacturing practices and premium grade quality material. Our industrial CPVC unions meet ASTM D1784, ASTM F437, and ASTM F439 standards for purity, precision, performance, technical specifications, and service reliability. All CPVC unions meet the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 14 and NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for potable water use and ANSI/NSF Standard 372 requirements as lead free and safe for potable water applications.
CPVC is resistant to many chemicals, materials, and ingredients commonly used across industrial, manufacturing, and commercial applications. Chemical compatibility should always be verified before installing and using any plumbing lines for chemical conveyance systems.
Applications and Uses
Schedule 80 CPVC union fittings are engineered to provide the adaptability, chemical resistance, and temperature tolerance often needed in industrial and commercial plumbing systems. CPVC unions excel in handling a wide range of chemicals and solutions used in chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, manufacturing plants, laboratories, agriculture, and more. The unique connection design of union fittings is highly beneficial to these applications as many require or benefit from regular inspections, maintenance, repair, or replacement of various parts within the plumbing system.
