Schedule 80 CPVC Adapters
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

Schedule 80 CPVC adapters are pipe fittings used to connect CPVC pipes, fittings, or equipment with different ends. The fittings are designed to allow plumbing components to adapt to various end connection types when creating plumbing joints. Schedule 80 CPVC adapters come in male and female connection options with threaded and socket ends. CPVC adapters allow versatility and flexibility in the design and installation of a CPVC plumbing network.
CPVC is a thermoplastic, synthetic material used to manufacture these plumbing adapters. CPVC has greater corrosion resistance, chemical compatibility, and maximum temperature range compared to standard PVC components. Schedule 80 CPVC adapters are rated for hot, corrosive liquids and water up to 200°F (93°C). Heavy duty CPVC adapters are made to Schedule 80 thickness, which improves overall durability and allows their use in higher pressure applications compared to Schedule 40 plumbing.
CPVC Schedule 80 adapters can handle higher temperatures, higher liquid pressures, and corrosive media, making CPVC fittings suitable for industrial applications, chemical processing, and other environments where standard PVC may not be suitable. Common applications for CPVC transition adapters include industrial distribution networks, chemical processing, plating, manufacturing, potable water and wastewater handling systems, and other environments where the handling of hot corrosive liquids and high pressures is required.
Sch 80 CPVC Adapter Sizes and Options
Sch 80 CPVC adapter sizes range from 1/4” to 4” in diameter. Sch 80 CPVC adapters have either socket by female threaded (SOC x FPT) ends or socket by male threaded (SOC x MPT) ends for making reliable joints between plumbing components with different ends.
CPVC Schedule 80 female adapters have a slip socket on one end and a female pipe thread on the other for mating with male threaded pipe components. CPVC Schedule 80 male adapters have a slip joint on one end and a male pipe thread on the other end. CPVC primer and cement are recommended for solvent welding socket adapters. Thread tape is recommended for twist-tight threaded connections.
Quality and Safety Standards
Our heavy duty CPVC adapters are USA made, engineered, and fabricated by leading manufacturers. The fittings are designed, tested, and certified to top industry specifications and standards for purity, precision, performance, and long lasting reliability. Schedule 80 CPVC adapters meet ASTM D1784, ASTM F437, ASTM F439 standards for plumbing and are NSF certified for potable water applications and approved for freshwater systems.
CPVC has natural compatibility with many chemicals, materials, and ingredients commonly used across industrial, manufacturing, and commercial applications. Chemical compatibility should always be verified before installing and using any plumbing lines for chemical conveyance systems.
Applications and Uses
CPVC Schedule 80 adapters have superior corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand elevated temperatures. This makes these adapters ideal for a wide range of applications in plumbing across work settings, conveyance systems, and liquid handling. Common applications for heavy duty CPVC adapters include hot corrosive liquids, chemical processing and injection lines, water systems involving hot or cold water, deionized water, circulation, and cooling, and industrial and manufacturing applications involving chemicals, solvents, mixtures, and ingredients.
