CPVC Duct Elbows

CPVC duct elbows are used in ventilation systems to create directional changes in the ductwork path. They are used in HVAC, venting, and exhaust systems to turn duct lines by a set 90 degree or 45 degree angle. Ductwork elbows allow for layout flexibility and work to maintain optimal flow characteristics. They are made to provide a smooth, curved path for air or gaseous media to follow without significant resistance. CPVC duct elbows are designed to minimize turbulence for steady airflow and to complete the installation of ductwork pipelines. CPVC duct elbows are used to guide airflow where straight runs are not possible due to corners or obstacles and when needing to optimize space or airflow dynamics. They are used in ventilation, air conditioning, chemical fume extraction, exhaust treatment, fume scrubbers, and other industrial applications that require handling of high temperatures or corrosive substances.

CPVC duct elbows are made from Corzan® Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) that offers superior resistance against impacts, chemicals, and temperatures up to 200°F. They are suitable for heavy duty applications and industrial activities to handle the movement, release, or treatment of air or exhaust that may contain fumes, gasses, dust, particulates, or vapors.

These are USA made CPVC duct elbows built by Harrison Machine and Plastic under the trade name SUPERDUCT®, one of the nation’s top manufacturers and brands of thermoplastic duct fittings. SUPERDUCT® elbows are to be used with air and compatible gaseous media in open air, non-pressurized applications only. They are not for use in pressure systems, with liquids, or with known incompatible chemicals. Always verify chemical compatibility prior to use.

CPVC Duct Elbow Sizes and Options

CPVC duct elbow sizes range from 2″ to 24″ in Iron Pipe Size (IPS) diameter. Elbow types include CPVC duct 45 degree elbows and CPVC duct 90 degree elbows. Heavy duty duct elbows are belled end socket type fittings. For installation, a quality CPVC primer and solvent cement suited to the work environment are recommended for duct elbows up to 14" in size. Hot air welding is recommended for CPVC duct elbows larger than 14″ in size.
