PVC Nipples
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

PVC nipples are precision pipe connectors used to securely join two pipes, fittings, valves, or equipment with female threaded ends. PVC nipples allow fluid transport across pipe network segments where both components have a female threaded connection. Pipe nipples have a straight, tubular design with two male NPT tapered threads (MPT) to create seamless, secure, and leakproof connections. Double threaded nipples can be used to extend pipes, connect fittings, or repair sections to customize and allow setup to be completed as required. They are primarily useful when needing to easily connect plumbing and equipment when space is limited and restricts the use of other fittings.
Pipe nipples are made from premium quality PVC or CPVC to Schedule 80 specifications and have thicker walls compared to Schedule 40 parts. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides superior strength and the ability to withstand greater working fluid pressures which is ideal for demanding applications. PVC and CPVC provide chemical resistance against corrosion and attack from many commonly used chemicals. The reliability and wide use cases of Schedule 80 PVC and CPVC nipples make them a valuable component in liquid handling applications that require high pressure tolerance and chemical resistance. Common applications include chemical processing, water treatment, irrigation systems, industrial and manufacturing plants, DWV systems, food and beverage production, and laboratories.
PVC Nipple Sizes and Options
Schedule 80 PVC and CPVC nipple sizes range from 1/2" to 4" in diameter and from 2” to 9” in length. Close nipples are available with just enough length to connect components with a seamless joint and come in several diameters. Large pipe nipples are available and come in sizes from 9” to 48” in length. We offer a large selection of pipe nipples to match pipe diameters, fittings, and project needs.
Each nipple features precise threading for a leakproof seal and easy installation in new or existing plumbing systems. Pipe nipples have a uniform thread quality that minimizes the risk of cross threading and leaks for a reliable connection and compatibility across a wide range of plumbing networks, application needs, and design requirements. A quality pipe thread is recommended during installation.
Quality and Safety Standards
Our Schedule 80 PVC nipples and CPVC nipples are USA made and manufactured to ASTM D1784, ASTM D2464, and ASTM F437 standards. These rigorous industry standards ensure that each pipe nipple meets the highest quality and specifications for Schedule 80 plumbing applications and is precisely manufactured for consistency and reliability.
PVC and CPVC provide excellent resistance to many chemicals, solutions, ingredients, and corrosive agents. This resistance makes Schedule 80 pipe nipples suited for conveying a variety of chemical substances, industrial solutions, and manufacturing materials. For chemical plumbing systems and conveyance, always verify chemical compatibility before use to ensure performance and safety.
