These systems can be installed using simultaneous or staggered butt fusion. The systems are offered in schedule 40 PVC, schedule 80 PVC, Clear, CPVC, Polypro, and PVDF. Double containment fittings allow for full system pressure ratings unless they are affected by the use of saddles, valves, or other components that carry a lower pressure rating.

Double containment fittings come in full SCH 40, full SCH 80, and combination SCH 40 x SCH 80 thickness standards. 

Double containment fitting types include double containment tees, elbows, couplings, closures, centralizers, termination fittings, union closures, and valve boxes. Available DC fittings come in either PVC or CPVC material construction. Centralizer fittings are of polypropylene (PP) construction. 

DC pipe fittings have standard socket joints for joining outer containment pipes and extended socket joints for connecting inner carrier pipe components. Double containment fittings can be installed using professional, material appropriate primer and cement. The fittings can be connected to traditional PVC pipe, CPVC pipe, or with clear pipe for both carrier and containment lines.
