CPVC duct wyes are Y-shaped fittings used to create branches for combining or distributing airflow in ventilation systems into one or two directions simultaneously. These ductwork fittings are made from professional grade, high quality Corzan® CPVC. They are suitable for hardworking industrial applications and ducting systems that handle corrosive or hazardous media as well as air that contains dust or particulates. CPVC duct wyes are available in single branch 45 degree wyes and dual branch true wyes. They are primarily used to merge or split airflow for seamless, multi directional changes in air handling. CPVC ductwork wyes work to provide a smooth transition for the flow of air, fumes, exhaust, and gasses. Their engineered design minimizes airflow disruption and ensures the efficient distribution of air media within the system.
CPVC duct wyes are made from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride for impact strength, fire resistance, low flame spread, chemical resistance, and can handle temperatures up to 200°F. CPVC duct wyes are made for applications that need to branch or combine duct lines for the movement, release, or treatment of air or exhaust that may contain fumes, gasses, dust, particulates, or vapors.
These are USA made CPVC duct wyes built by Harrison Machine and Plastic® under the trade name SUPERDUCT®, one of the nation’s top manufacturers and brands of thermoplastic ductwork. SUPERDUCT® wyes are to be used with air and compatible gaseous media in open air, non-pressurized applications only. They are not for use in pressure systems, with liquids, or with known incompatible chemicals. Always verify chemical compatibility prior to use.
CPVC Duct Wye Sizes and Options
CPVC duct wye fitting types include 45 degree wyes and true wyes in Iron Pipe Size (IPS) diameter. CPVC duct 45 degree wyes range from 2″ x 2″ x 2″ to 24″ x 24″ x 24″ in size. Available CPVC duct true wyes range from 4″ to 24″ in size.
For installation, solvent welding with a quality CPVC primer and solvent cement suited to the work environment are recommended for duct fittings up to 14" in size. Hot air welding is recommended for fittings larger than 14″ in size.
