Schedule 80 PVC Bushings
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

Schedule 80 PVC bushings are used to connect pipes of different diameters. Also known as Schedule 80 reducer bushings, these pipe fittings have one end with a large diameter and a smaller diameter on the opposite end. Each end may feature a different connection option and three product options in various sizes are available. Schedule 80 bushings are made to join Sch 80 pipes or fittings of different sizes by either reducing or increasing the diameter of the connecting end, enabling smooth transitions between various sections of a piping system. These bushings are made to Schedule 80 thickness from professional grade PVC, which is naturally resistant to corrosion and attack from many commonly used chemicals. Schedule 80 PVC has thicker walls compared to Schedule 40 and can handle higher pressure applications and provides improved physical durability and chemical resistance. Schedule 80 bushing adapters are commonly used in water conveyance systems, transporting chemicals, solvents, and mixtures, handling ingredients, and in wastewater applications.
Sch 80 PVC Bushing Sizes and Options
Sch 80 PVC reducer bushing sizes range from 3/8" x 1/4" up to 12” x 10” in diameter. The adapters are available in three connection options: Schedule 80 PVC insert bushings, PVC Schedule 80 threaded bushings, and Schedule 80 PVC bushing spigot x FPT.
Insert bushings feature spigot by socket connection ends. Threaded bushings feature MPT by FPT (male pipe thread by female pipe thread) connection ends. Combination bushings feature spigot by FPT connection ends. Insert Bushing: Sometimes used to describe plain bushings that fit inside another fitting.
Quality and Safety Standards
Our Schedule 80 PVC bushings are made in the USA by leading manufacturers that have precision engineered them for reliable performance and safety. The bushings adhere to the standard specifications of ASTM D1784 and ASTM D2464/2467 and are NSF certified for potable water applications. and manufacturing specifications.
PVC has natural resistance to many chemicals and corrosive materials used across different industries. This resistance makes Sch 80 PVC bushings suitable for a wide variety of industrial and chemical handling applications. For PVC plumbing systems to be used in chemical conveyance, always verify compatibility before use.
