CPVC Duct Flanges

CPVC duct flanges are specialized joint fittings used to connect ductwork in ventilation, fume handling, and exhaust systems. They are made to create a secure, airtight connection between different components of duct systems including pipes, valves, and other equipment for the effective flow of air or gaseous media that may contain corrosive chemicals, hazardous materials, dust, or particulates. CPVC duct flanges are designed to mount at the end of duct pipes or fittings. They feature a flat, circular disc with dedicated bolt holes that allow the flange to be bolted together with another flange or to a flange faced component. The bolted connection creates a strong seal that maintains duct system integrity and can be removed if needed for maintenance, repair, or modifications. CPVC duct flanges are often used with gaskets or sealing compounds to ensure an airtight, leak proof connection. CPVC duct flanges are commonly installed and used in chemical processing, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and laboratories where the safe and secure handling of corrosive chemicals, hazardous materials, and particulates is required.

These are USA made CPVC duct flanges built by Harrison Machine and Plastic® under the trade name SUPERDUCT®, one of the nation’s top manufacturers and brands of thermoplastic ductwork. SUPERDUCT® CPVC flanges are to be used with air and compatible gaseous media in open air, non-pressurized applications only. They are not for use in pressure systems, with liquids, or with known incompatible chemicals. Always verify chemical compatibility prior to use.

CPVC Duct Flange Sizes and Options

CPVC duct flange sizes range from 2″ to 24″ in diameter and come in socket flange and blind flange types. Flanges are made to Iron Pipe Size (IPS) sizing standard for use with IPS or Schedule 40 ductwork. All CPVC duct flanges are 3/16″ thick material with 5/16″ diameter bolt holes. Undrilled socket flanges or flanges with 150# drilling are available on request. Available CPVC duct socket flanges have a slip joint end for permanent installation through solvent or hot air welding. Hot air welding is recommended for socket flanges larger than 14″ in size. Blind duct flanges are made for bolt and hardware installation only.

Technical Specifications

CPVC duct flanges are made from FM4910 specification Corzan® CPVC that meets ASTM D1784 classification and quality requirements. They have been tested to meet and/or exceed various ASTM standards for CPVC ductwork to ensure a consistent, high performance product quality, mechanical strength, chemical durability, and physical properties related to working temperature, fire, flame spread, and smoke generation. The technical specifications of CPVC duct flanges guarantee their mechanical strength, chemical durability, and operating temperature range.
