Double Containment Centralizers

Double containment centralizers are structural components used in dual pipe plumbing systems to support and align carrier pipes within containment pipes. Double containment (DC) centralizers are used to ensure the internal carrier pipe remains centered and stable. They are designed with a central hole that fits snugly around the carrier pipe and have support extensions that reach to the exterior containment pipe to maintain a set, even gap between the two pipes. This design allows the carrier pipe to be effortlessly positioned precisely in the center of the containment pipe. DC centralizers are essential components in the construction of effective and secure secondary containment systems. The centralizers are simple slip-on devices made for easy positioning and can be held in place with a few wraps of clean-room adhesive. They feature an annular space that provides openings for running leak detection cables if used. Centralizers are made to be used inside containment pipes of a secondary containment system and installed on the carrier pipe. They are not intended for installation within fittings and must be ordered separately to the same carrier-by-containment size and pipe schedule selected.

Double containment centralizers range from 1/2ʺ x 2ʺ up to 8ʺ x 12ʺ in size. Additional sizes are available on request. Centralizer sizing is listed in carrier pipe to containment pipe diameters. Sizing is listed in IPS by Schedule and available in either SCH 40 or SCH 80 standard. Double containment centralizers are intended for simple slip-on installation by sliding over the internal carrier pipe. They can be repositioned and secured in place as needed.
