PVC duct flexible couplings are pipe fittings used to join two sections of ductwork together with a secure and flexible connection. The couplings feature stainless steel bands and a flexible gasket like sleeve to create a dynamic, airtight connection. They are primarily used in HVAC systems and industrial applications to connect sections of ductwork for continuous airflow and are often used for dissimilar materials or where movement is expected. Their flexible design works to accommodate misalignments, vibrations, and thermal expansions that can occur within ductwork systems. Flexible PVC duct couplings work by slipping over the ends of duct pipe sections or fittings and securing them with stainless steel clamps. This creates a leakproof and durable seal between the connected parts to maintain system integrity and operation. PVC flexible duct couplings can be used for both permanent and temporary installations. Flexible duct couplings can handle some vibration but are not designed for systems with a lot of movement such as from hardworking equipment. Rigid couplings may make a better choice in these applications. The use of flexible duct couplings provides easier installation and maintenance of ductwork and ventilation systems.

Our PVC flexible duct couplers are USA made by Harrison Machine and Plastic under the trade name SUPERDUCT, one of the nation’s top manufacturers and brands of thermoplastic ductwork. PVC ductwork is to be used with air and compatible gaseous media in non-pressurized applications only. They are not for use in pressure systems, with liquids, or with known incompatible chemicals. Always verify chemical compatibility prior to use.

PVC Flexible Duct Coupling Sizes and Options

PVC flexible duct coupling sizes range from 3″ to 24″ in Iron Pipe Size (IPS) diameter. Flexible duct couplers come in sleeve type style. For installation, slip the coupling over the two ductwork sections and use the provided stainless steel tightening bands to securely fix in place. The coupling and tightening bands should support each ductwork section independently and evenly.
