Double Containment Elbows

Double containment elbows are dual pipe fittings used to join and route pipes while providing a protective barrier against leaks and spills. Double containment (DC) elbow fittings come in 45 degree and 90 degree elbow types to make necessary pipeline adjustments and equipment connections. Double containment elbows feature an inner carrier ell for fluid transport and an outer containment ell that works as a secondary barrier that prevents liquid release if the carrier pipe should fail. Double containment elbows come in 90° elbows and 45° elbows.

Secondary containment elbows come with traditional type outer pipe socket joints and specialized extended inner pipe socket joints to allow carrier pipe connections. DC elbow fittings can be connected to standard, dual layer, or clear PVC and CPVC pipe components. Double containment elbows can be installed using a material appropriate primer and cement for solvent welded joints.  

Double containment elbows are USA made by Spears Manufacturing® and manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility. They are made from industrial strength, professional grade quality PVC or CPVC material. The elbows are rated for SCH 40 and SCH 80 pressure ratings dependent on size and operating temperature. They are rated for temperatures up to 140°F for PVC and up to 200°F for CPVC.
