Swing check valves are designed for backflow prevention and can only be installed in the upflow vertical position. These valves come in white and clear PVC material. You can get the valves as a one piece molded vale with socket or threaded ends or you can choose the true union option with socket or threaded ends. The valves must be installed with the arrow on the valve going in the same direction as the flow in your system. The max temperature the valve will withstand is 140 degrees F. The full flow pressure rating of the valve is 150 PSI when fully open and has a backflow pressure rating of 75 PSI when closed. The valves come standard with EPDM seats.
