Swing Check Valves
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

Swing check valves are used for reliable, automatic backflow prevention in fluid handling systems to protect pumps, filters, and equipment. They have a simple yet effective design with a hinged disc, or flapper, that opens to allow flow in one direction and quickly closes when flow ceases or tries to reverse, safeguarding the system without manual intervention. The swing check valve engineering offers an unobstructed, full flow path that minimizes pressure drop and is ideal for applications where maintaining high flow rates is important.
We offer a range of swing check valves to meet various performance and system needs. To match installation setups, operating demands, and chemical compatibility our valves are available in multiple high performing materials.
Features & Options
- White PVC: Cost effective and durable choice for general purpose and some chemical applications with temperatures up to 140°F.
- Clear PVC: Clear PVC valves provide the added benefit of easy visual inspection for monitoring valve function and cleanliness.
- CPVC: Engineered for high temperature applications to safely handle media up to 200°F, CPVC swing check valves are ideal for hot water lines and industrial processing.
- GFPP (Glass Filled Polypropylene): Offers superior chemical resistance and strength, good for systems handling aggressive or corrosive fluids.
Individual product options include EPDM or FPM (Viton) O-ring seals for lasting leak protection, and multiple connection options including socket, threaded, and true union ends for seamless deployment. True union options allow quick inline servicing without the need to cut pipe. Swing check valves are pressure tested and rated up to 150 PSI, depending on model and configuration.
Common Industry Uses
Swing check valves are relied on in a wide range of industries for their reliable backflow prevention and durable construction. They are commonly used in water and wastewater treatment plants, chemical manufacturing, aquaculture systems, recreational pools, spas, and commercial building infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and irrigation systems. Additional applications include power plants, cooling tower and fluid transfer circuits, industrial cooling systems, oil and gas pipelines, natural gas transmission networks, and sewer systems where handling solids and intermittent flow is routine. Swing check valves are also essential in high purity, high uptime environments like data centers to ensure protection of cooling and fluid management systems.
