PVC duct 45 degree reducing wyes are used to integrate a branch in airflow direction within ductwork and ventilation systems while simultaneously reducing the duct size at one or two of the branches. The 45 degree duct reducing wye is designed to optimize air handling and ensure gaseous media is effectively distributed to various parts of an industrial or commercial facility that require different sized duct lines. The fittings are manufactured from Type 1 Grade 1 PVC, Cell Class 12454-B per ASTM D-1784 standards. This means the fittings have been fabricated and tested for purity, consistency, and strength for mechanical durability, reliable chemical resistance, and suitability for handling a wide range of vapors, exhausts, fumes, gasses, dust, and particulate materials.
PVC duct 45 degree reducing wyes feature a unique design with up to three reducer joints for connecting up to three different pipe sizes at a single union. The fittings have a smooth internal surface to minimize airflow resistance, friction, and turbulence for minimal effects on system flow dynamics. The fittings are low in weight for easy installation yet durable and corrosion resistant for a long service life capable of withstanding the rigors of various work environments and ventilation systems. PVC duct 45 degree reducing wyes come in sizes ranging from 4″ x 3″ x 2″ up to 24″ x 20″ x 18″ in diameter with belled end socket connections.
