Class 125 Elbows
Bidding a job & need contractor pricing?
We've got you covered!

Class 125 elbow fittings are a subclass of large size Schedule 40 pipe fittings. Class 125 elbows are used to connect two PVC pipe segments at a precise angle and come in 90 degree and 45 degree elbow options. Elbow fittings are used to make turns to route pipelines in a plumbing system and change the direction of fluid flow. Class 125 PVC elbow fittings provide a smooth curved path for fluid to flow through. They connect pipes at an angle without causing significant turbulence or pressure drops. These Class 125 elbows are intended for solvent weld installation to create a strong, leak proof joint. They are classified as Class 125 elbows to indicate their maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI. Class 125 elbows are identical to Schedule 40 fittings but have not undergone post-production testing and certification to save costs, resulting in a lower purchase price. Overall, Class 125 elbows should provide the same performance as Schedule 40 fittings, although as pressure testing has not been performed, this cannot be guaranteed. They are commonly employed in large diameter, large volume, low pressure plumbing and irrigation systems where non-corrosive, non-metallic piping and directional changes are required.
**Notice** Class 125 PVC elbows are not suitable for pressurized liquid applications exceeding 125 PSI or systems requiring certified Schedule 40 PVC as per building or plumbing codes. They are not intended for use in pressurized air applications.
Class 125 Elbow Sizes and Options
Class 125 elbows come in 10ʺ and 12ʺ sizes in Schedule 40 sizing standard. Class 125 elbow fittings are available in 90° and 45° elbows in standard and street (spigot) configurations. Fittings come with slip socket by socket or spigot by socket connections to match project configuration needs and solvent weld installation with PVC primer and cement.
Technical Specifications
Class 125 PVC elbows are made in the USA by Westlake Pipe & Fittings®, (LASCO®), one of America’s top manufacturers. Class 125 elbows are produced using ASTM D1784, professional grade, virgin PVC material. Their engineering and construction are designed to provide an extended lifespan, lasting performance, versatility across applications, and corrosion resistance for compatibility with various chemicals and underground soil. Class 125 elbow fittings are pressure rated for liquid plumbing systems up to 125 PSI. They are approved for liquid temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). Class 125 elbows are made on the same product line as traditional Schedule 40 fittings in an NSF certified facility using high quality materials free of harmful chemicals or additives. Class 125 elbows can be used with other Schedule 40 sized components.

Features and Benefits
Class 125 elbows offer a cost effective, durable, and easy to install solution for redirecting large size, high volume pipe runs. Their smooth interior surface minimizes friction and potential buildup of sediment or biofilms to make the fittings effective in fluid transport. They are suitable for both above ground and underground installation. Their PVC construction offers stability, low thermal conductivity, and resistance to environmental damage. Their resistance to chemicals and corrosion, lightweight design, and easy installation, make Class 125 PVC elbows a viable option for plumbing projects and systems seeking long term reliability and a cost effective alternative.
- PVC Material: Long lasting, stable plastic resistant to impact, chemicals, and corrosion
- Durable Construction: Resistant to environmental and underground corrosion
- Large Sizes: Large diameter fittings for high volume plumbing applications
- Pressure Rated: Can handle pressures up to 125 PSI
- Precision Routing: Creates 90° or 45° turns in pipeline direction
- Cost Effective: Economical compared to traditional Schedule 40 or metal pipe fittings
- Leakproof: Leak free connections when properly installed
- Easy to Install: Lightweight, socket connection for easy handling and installation
Applications and Uses
Class 125 PVC elbows are commonly used in plumbing, irrigation, and fluid pipeline systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings that require large volume flow and lower operational pressures. They are suitable for a variety of applications where building and plumbing codes allow their use. Common applications and uses include water supply and distribution, drainage and sewer systems, chemical processing, large scale irrigation, agriculture and farming, waste and water treatment, and water handling in pool, spa, and water park installations. Due to their chemical resistance, Class 125 elbow fittings can be used in harsh environments where other materials may corrode or experience damage, making them a compatible and cost effective option for industrial applications such as processing plants or factories.
