The Eaton Model 53 BTX duplex basket strainer is used for full size filtration performance when a compact, space saving design is required. This duplex strainer is engineered for continuous flow applications and is ideal for systems that cannot be shut down for maintenance such as chemical processing, water treatment plants, manufacturing lines, and marine applications. Its innovative design keeps fluid pipelines flowing while purifying liquids and protecting valuable downstream equipment from harmful particulates and suspended solids.
The Model 53 BTX strainer features a unique flow diverter cartridge with two stainless steel balls that offers an improvement over traditional plug style strainers. This advanced design provides bubble tight, leak proof isolation of the off-line chamber. Flow can be switched effortlessly between basket chambers with a simple lever handle and without a gearbox or special tools. The dynamic sealing system of this unit provides long service life and positive shutoff without the need for manual adjustments.
