For over 75 years, the Eaton Model 72 simplex basket strainer has set the industry standard for reliable, heavy duty industrial filtration. It is the ideal choice for many commercial and industrial applications where pipelines can be temporarily shut down for maintenance. The Model 72 features an exceptional heavy wall construction and comes in cast iron, bronze, carbon steel, or stainless steel. This strainer is built to withstand the most demanding operations and working environments.
The Model 72 filter has an impressive basket capacity with a free straining area at least six times the cross sectional pipe area. This large capacity minimizes the frequency of cleanings, which saves time and costs. The strainer features a quick open, swinging yoke cover that requires no tools for removal, so basket cleaning or changeouts can be done in seconds. This user friendly design keeps maintenance fast and efficient. For added stability, strainer sizes 2" and larger come with mounting legs for bolt mounted installation.
